Postponement of SOCEH 43rd Annual General Meeting

Dear Members of Society of Environmental Health (Singapore)

Your Management Committee had, at its January 2020 committee meeting, decided to hold our 43rd Annual General Meeting on 30 May 2020 at the Civil Service Club at Tessensohn Road. However, with the current COVID 19 pandemic and “Circuit Breaker” measures in place in Singapore, the Registrar of Societies has advised that it has “no objection” to Societies postponing their AGMs – as long as members are notified and their agreement obtained.  Please see copy of the Registrar of Society’s email dated Sunday 29 March 2020 below.

Your President and Management Committee have therefore now decided to delay the 43rd AGM until the current situation is over and it is safe – and permitted by Government – to hold the AGM.  We seek your kind understanding on this matter.  However, if you are not agreeable, please let the President, Secretary or anyone of our management committee know by Saturday 25 April 2020 . You are also requested to let us know the grounds for your disagreement too.  You may also WhatsApp President Mr Hassan Bava at 91804545 or the Secretary at 90926599.

Thank you.  Warm regards and Keep Safe!

John Gerizim
Secretary
For and on behalf of President and Management Committee
