Greetings.
During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Society, which was held on 11 May 2013, the AGM had approved a proposal relating to subsidies for overseas trips/vacation made by the members.
The Society is pleased to circulate the details regarding submission of overseas claims.
Attached are the Guidance Note 2013 and the Claim Form 2013, which are prepared to make it convenient for the members to submit their claims.
Pls do read the Guidance Note, before planing for your trip and submitting your claim.
In general, subsidy is meant for reimbursement of the cost of one overseas trip/vacation, made by the member within the period – 11 May 2013 to 31 March 2014 (inclusive of the dates) – regardless of who or the number of people travelling with the member.
The members shall have to submit the following, while submitting their claims.
(a) Duly filled out and signed “Claim Form 2013″.
(b) Travel documents (invoices/bills and if necessary, other supporting documents) from travel/travel related companies or organizations.
The travel documents must contain the name of the member, name of the travel/travel related company or organization, date(s) of the trip, amount paid, and overseas destination. (If the invoice contains all these details, it will be suffice to submit the invoice alone.)
The maximum subsidy, which an eligible member can claim, is $250 if the member had joined the Society between 1 January 2007 and 12 May 2012 (inclusive of the dates), and $500 if the member had joined the Society before 1 January 2007.
A member can contact Hon. Treasurer, Mr. Teo Kok Siong , or Mr. John Gerizim, if he/she has any enquiry about processing of claim or date of his/her membership, respectively.
